I primarily specialise in legal translation and view dispute resolution, contracts and legislation as my core sub-specialisms within the legal specialism. As in-house translator at a number of Legal 500 international law firms, I dealt with all kinds of legal texts, including contentious, transactional and operational documents, acquired knowledge of subtleties of the law and legal systems, liaised with legal practitioners and highly-qualified peers, and took specialist training for non-lawyers engaged in the legal domain. Working in a professional environment with a strong expatriate presence, I developed professionally as a linguist through everyday practice and direct contact with English-speaking lawyers.
